It is that time of year again where we need to pre-enroll our students for Pre-K and Kindergarten for the upcoming 2023-24 school year. Pre-K is an excellent way to promote school readiness and academic preparation in a school setting for children before they enter Kindergarten. Research has shown that students who attend Pre-K make the transition to Kindergarten more easily and have more success when they begin their formal education. Pre-K is a wonderful introductory program to Kindergarten; however, participation is not mandatory. Below are the criteria that will be used to determine a student’s eligibility to participate in the Pre-K program.
Rookie Round-Up is on April 5th from 4pm to 6:30pm in the elementary school. Please have the following documentation with you to enroll your new student(s):
· The child must reach their 4th birthday on or before September 1, 2023
· The following documents are required for all NEW students to our district
o Certified Oklahoma birth certificate (original) – no hospital birth certificates, please
o Current immunization record (4 DTaP, 3 Polio, 1 MMR, 3 Hep B, 2 Hep A, 1 Varicella)
o Proof of residency such as current utility bills (gas, electric) or lease agreement
o Driver’s license
